What is Drinks Trade ?
Drinks Trade is a bi-monthly business magazine created to cater for the liquor and hospitality industry. It is the only trade publication that provides a cohesive approach to editorial, covering both on and off-premise in each edition. The goal of the magazine is to be recognised and accepted as the official publication for the Australian liquor industry.

Who owns it?
Drinks Trade is published by the Liquor Merchants Association of Australia and is provided as a service to the Australia liquor industry. A wholly-industry owned publication created for the benefit of the industry itself, any money made through advertising is put back into the magazine to improve circulation numbers and overall size.

Editorial Policy:
Drinks Trade has a 'business first' approach. Getting straight to the crux of the matter, the magazine does not provide social reporting on industry events unless they have a business message to convey to the trade.

Drinks Trade does not promise editorial coverage to advertisers, nor does it accept money for editorial placement in features. In this way, it maintains editorial integrity as advertisers are aware they cannot 'buy' space in the magazine.

Editor Katrina Holden recently placed third in the 'Editor of the Year' category at the 2008 Publisher's Australia Bell Awards following her editorial contributions to the magazine.

Drinks Trade aims to report the 'business of drinks', and covers all areas of the liquor industry, from beer, wine and spirits, to wholesalers, distributors and retailers. Both Australian and global news is reported factually and as up-to-date as possible. Regular sections such as "In Focus" put the spotlight on different areas in the industry each edition, while three "Insight" interviews each edition ask the 'big questions' to some of the big names in the industry.

Regular 'Perspective' columns from a range of contributing companies both locally and overseas touch on the topics-of-the-day, and New Releases showcases some of the new brands being launched to the market.

Drinks Trade is the pre-eminent source of drinks industry news, with access to exclusively sourced information that other publications do not have.

Distribution:
Drinks Trade circulation reaches right to the core of the industry, direct-mailed across the country to both on and off-premise.

It is audited every six months by the Circulations Audit Board, making it the highest circulating trade magazine in the industry.

The magazine launched with an initial circulation of 10,500, and following industry support has now grown to 22,000 after just one year on the market.
